Managed by Missionary Sisters, Servants of the Holy Spirit, Loyola Hospital is a registered private, non-profit healthcare institution under the Government of Odisha, located in the heart of Kalinga Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
Founded by the late Father George Antony Hess of the Society of Jesus and other benefactors, the hospital opened its doors in 2002 with a mission to provide affordable healthcare to economically disadvantaged communities.
On 12th February 2018, the hospital inaugurated its Palliative Care Unit — dedicated to the care of terminally ill patients, marking a significant milestone in compassionate healthcare.
The Missionary Sisters, Servants of the Holy Spirit was founded in 1889 by St. Arnold Janssen, with the assistance of Sisters Maria Helena Stollenwerk and Josepha Hendrina Stenmanns, from its origins in Steyl, Holland.
The Order has since expanded to over 46 countries, with around 2,800 Sisters of 47 nationalities forming a global network of over 425 communities.
In 1933, the first group of four Sisters arrived in India, beginning their enduring mission of healing and service.
"Inspired by Jesus the Divine Healer, our mission at Loyola Hospital is to provide Quality, Compassionate, and Affordable health care for all."
